Earlier his interest was just limited to attend a free class but gradually with technical and practical session he started liking music. Anirudh a class 8th, 13 years old and living with his parents in Delhi. Since birth he had sight problems and this worsened till the time he reached primary level of schooling, at which he lost the ability to see shapes, objects and colours.

Anirudh attended mainstream school and due to his physical inability he did not have many friends. As a child, he isolated himself from others his own age and preferred to stay at home with his parents than go out with friends. This was further encouraged by his parents who did everything for him at home. He attributes this to the Indian culture where people with disabilities are over-protected by their families. After discussion among themselves his family got them enrolled him in a blind boarding school, so that he can get education and be with children who are like them.

In the school they are given opportunity to learn and write and also participate in extra-curricular activities. In March, his class teacher enrolled them in life skill music classes. Like rest of the students keyboard was new to him.

Initially, our music teacher states that teaching music was difficult but gradually he started listening and learning. With an inner power to learn fast he is learning the concepts of music. This is helping him to overcome his depression.
